A derelict commercial building in
the heart of the Black Country has
been revamped to become a stateof-
the-art £5 million complex.
Metro Court in West Bromwich
High Street has stood empty since
British Telecom moved out in the
early 1990s. Minister for the West
Midlands Ian Austin officially
opened the refurbished building,
accompanied by Paul Bassi,
chairman of property company
Bond Wolfe.
Bond Wolfe invested more
than £3 million and Sandwell
Primary Care Trust put £1.5
million into the scheme. Paul
Bassi said: “We are committed
to investment within the region
and have completed a successful
refurbishment programme of
Metro Court, despite the difficult
economic times we find ourselves
in. This project completed our £17
million West Plaza Hotel and office
scheme.”
