Judith and Fergus WilsonBuy to Let magnates Judith and Fergus Wilson are set to retire from their property business and have put all 700 homes up for sale. The couple were listed 793rd in the Sunday Times Rich list with a combined wealth of £70 million, created entirely from buying and letting homes in Ashford, Maidstone, Shepway and Hawkinge.

Mr Wilson, said “The time is right for us to go. It is much easier to offload them now than I think it will be in 18 months. We were going to wait until I was 65, but it is better to sell while interest rates are low, and I expect they will rise after the next general election.”

They have had already enquiries to buy the portfolio, which, although hit by the downturn in prices has also been helped by recent price rises in the Ashford area as a result of the new high speed rail link.
