River BankIf you are of a certain age, ie you can remember Johnny Morris and Tales of the Riverbank, you might like to bid for a Lot in HEB’s February auction. The successful bidder will win their own piece of the River Trent with fishing rights and mooring points at Fiskerton Wharf at Fiskerton, near Southwell.

The lot includes just under 0.5 acres of land adjacent to the river and a former warehouse with granary, part-converted into a residential dwelling, office and warehouse. The river, land and buildings – which have a guide price of £300,000 - includes around 200ft of river frontage with pontoon and mooring for several boats. Included are fishing rights for the Trent.

“It’s not often someone has the opportunity to buy part of the River Trent and we think it will attract a lot of bids, but all the lots represent exciting opportunities for developers with vision”, said heb’s Matt Hilton, who heads the auctions department.

The site is directly next to the Bromley Arms, the really popular riverside pub which is incredibly busy all year round. All in all, this is a great spot in the Nottinghamshire countryside.”
