are expanding
their current
operations to include regular
‘modern method’ property
auctions. David Leake MNAEA
(pictured) Director at
Housesetc said, “The
perception of auctions has
changed completely. In the
past, they were synonymous
with cheap, repossessed
properties however, more and
more residential sellers are
now reaping the benefits of
selling this way. The auction in
November was a huge success,
we were expecting around 100
buyers, but 300 bidders turned
up on the night, and an
astounding 91 per cent of the
properties entered into the
auction received a proceedable
offer producing a 70 per cent
sale conversion rate; evidence
that there are buyers out
there!” Housesetc auction
system was designed by
Iam-sold, an independent
consultancy firm, specifically
to help ordinary residential
buyers and sellers achieve a
speedy and secure sale. In this
type of auction is free to the
seller with no sales fees to
stump up. The buyer pays
a five per cent (minimum
£5,000) non-refundable
deposit following a successful
bid and exchange in 28 days.
Housesetc are confident
that interest in ‘the modern
method’ auctions will continue
to grow as buyers and sellers
recognise the obvious benefits
of this type of sale.
Director of associate partner
Link Agency Phil Jones BA
(Hons) MBA MNAEA MARLA,
commented “Properties are
exchanged within 28 days and
completed within 56 days,
without any lengthy,
problematic chains.”
