richard worralRichard Worrall, Director of Thompson Wilson, said that their March auction, held in the historic Oak Room at the Old Town Hall, High Wycombe was the first property auction to be held in the town for over 30 years.

The sale raised £1.86 million for their clients, selling all of the eight lots on offer.
Consultant Auctioneer, Guy Charrison conducted the sale.

Two unmodernised flats sold to investors and a rather plain 3-bedroom detached house in a delightful village location, sold for £700,000 against a guide price of £650,000.
The last lot of the sale, an extended detached house with a guide price of £185,000 was, after frantic bidding, finally sold for £286,000, resulting in a delighted vendor who instructed Thompson Wilson on the property less than 3 weeks prior to the auction.

Richard Worrall said, “The interest and success of this sale shows there is a genuine appetite for property auctions in Buckinghamshire and I am delighted to have brought auctions back to High Wycombe town centre after a break of over 30 years.”
