Portals battle for top internet traffic position

According to the latest figures from Nielsen, which tracks internet traffic, Zoopla.co.uk was the second most-visited property website in the UK in March, behind only Rightmove. However, The Digital Property Group claims that they have second place when traffic figures to their brands, Findaproperty and Primelocation are added up.

Alex Chesterman, CEO of Zoopla.co.uk comments, “The Nielsen figures are a good sign for the market in general with house-hunter interest growing significantly from February.
Obviously we are delighted that more house-hunters every month are turning to Zoopla to help them make the property related decisions.” Sarah Boorman, Brand Director for The Digital Property Group, comments, “The Nielsen March data underlines that the gap with Rightmove is narrowing month-on-month. It also highlights that the market is led by those portals which have invested in above-the-line TV activity, especially in terms of consumer traction.”
