Simon Gardner, MD at TuckerGardner in Cambridge, reports that sales are back to record highs with agreed sales now hitting a massive 130 per month.

“Cambridge is experiencing a return to peak levels as house prices continue to rise and property is moving so fast that our clients can expect to sell within two weeks of going on the market. In fact, very often, houses are being snapped up before they even make it to the market.

“This is particularly prevalent in city hotspots; areas in the vicinity of private schools are exceeding guide prices beyond expectations. Things are also buoyant in our Cambridgeshire villages. We’ve returned to realisic volumes and values and as confidence grows there is a willingness to be competitive, it’s not unusual for us to have three, maybe four, buyers bidding for one property.”
