Countrywide offered 28 properties at their June auction and 23 were sold, with a total sale value of £2,041,500.

Mark Tanton, Countrywide Chief Auctioneer said, “There was a huge buzz of activity with two and three bedroom properties in most demand. We continue to see an increase in the number of parents buying properties at auction in a bid to help their children to get on the property ladder while a number of buyers were happy to pay comfortably above the guide price as they still see property as a sound investment.”

The auction took place at Haydock Park Racecourse and the next event covering properties in the North West will be on 16 July 2009.
