PROPERTYdrum Magazine April 2009 Issue - Letters to the Editor
publication date: Apr 5, 2009
Dear Sheila,
It will be interesting to see the
first edition of Propertydrum as
the industry needs a publication
that represents all aspects of
the industry, including lettings.
A forward-thinking title will
be welcomed by property
professionals who would benefit
from informative features on how
the market is developing along
with market projections and
comment. It’s no good dwelling
on the past – however great the
revivals or downturns may have
been – we need to drive the
industry forward.
I’d like to see Propertydrum
highlighting new policies and
providing accurate information in
connection with new legislation
affecting the industry. This would
include what is happening in
Parliament as well as any new Acts
that are passed.
In order to represent an
accurate picture of the industry,
the new title should represent
independent businesses as well
as large multi-nationals across a
diverse cross-section of disciplines.
Personally, I’d like to see the
inclusion of company news too
with features on events and what
people are doing for charity. This
can only ever be good for the
industry.
There’s certainly a place for an
online title in the current climate
but the new publication must build
support for the printed version in
its early days as hard copies still
have an important role to play.
The online content will inherently
have international reach and it will
be good to see both versions in the
marketplace. All the best!

Dear Sheila,
Just a quick note to wish you well
with the new venture. I am sure
your publication which will cover
every aspect of the property
market under one title will be a
great success and welcomed by
the whole of the industry. Great
idea having it online as well as I often forward on relevant
and interesting features to my
colleagues. Look forward to
reading the first issue.

Dear Sheila,
In our business, and with the
lettings market showing more
and more signs of emerging
bad tenants, we need to get our
messages and services across to
as many sectors of the market as
possible so that they can pass it
on. Propertydrum will be a great all rounder and I hope it will carry
up to date, relevant and factual
information which is what we
need.

Dear Sheila and Graham
(always ladies first!),
I am sorry to hear that you have
left The Estate Agent, after we
have some brilliant editorials and
a lot of very excellent comments
from the readers. I think auctions
still have a air of intrigue about
them and seemingly a quiet desire
for people to bid in a room and
enjoy the adrenaline rush you get
from it, which is why prospective
bidders read articles on auctions with such interest.
From all of us here at Clive
Emson Auctioneers, we wish you
both all the very best with your
new venture and I am so pleased
that you will be covering all
aspects of the property industry.
We would be pleased to support
you with a selection of auction
editorials, comments on the future
of the industry, HIP and EPC
legislation and even proposed
changes in Property Law etc if you
wish. Please let me know.
All the very best and I look
forward to reading the first and
many subsequent editions.
Kind regards

Dear Sheila,
It is always great to hear about
the launch of a new trade
publication for the property
industry, especially in today’s
market. For a company like ours,
a service company for the estate
agency sector, all trade magazines
are a vital communication tool.
It’s great that you are introducing
Propertydrum magazine to cover
all areas and aspects of the
market, great idea, and I would like
to wish you well!
